Consultation

The national consultation process will seek to ensure the National Apology Reference Group has insight into what is most important to victims and survivors in the way the National Apology is framed and delivered.

All information received during the consultation process will be treated in accordance with our privacy statement.

Submissions can be provided using the online form below, or posted to:

National Apology Secretariat
Attorney-General’s Department
3-5 National Circuit
BARTON ACT 2600

Submissions must be received by 31 July 2018.

Face to face consultations

Face-to-face consultation meetings will take place in all capital cities, as well as in a small number of regional areas over May – July 2018. Equal weight will be given to all views, whether they are provided in a consultation meeting or through the National Apology website.

Victims and survivors have been invited to attend these consultation meetings, mostly though their association to survivor support groups and other support services.

The schedule for these consultations can be viewed on the schedule page.
